Terms of Use
pcGauge ("we", "us", "our") is an independently developed and operated desktop application for Windows, published on the Microsoft Store under the name Joycode. These terms govern your use of the pcGauge application and the pcgauge.com website. By using either, you agree to these terms.
1. License
pcGauge is licensed, not sold. When you purchase pcGauge through the Microsoft Store, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the application on Windows devices linked to your Microsoft account, subject to the Microsoft Store Terms of Use.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the application or any part of it.
2. Free trial
pcGauge offers a 15-day free trial through the Microsoft Store. After the trial period, a one-time purchase is required to continue using the application. Trial availability and terms are managed by the Microsoft Store.
3. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with pcGauge and the pcGauge website are our property. Nothing in these terms grants you rights to use our branding, logos, or content beyond normal use of the application.
4. Support
We provide support on a reasonable-effort basis via support@joycode.org. We aim to respond promptly but do not guarantee specific response times or resolution outcomes.
5. Disclaimers
pcGauge is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- pcGauge reads system metrics using standard Windows APIs. Hardware readings may vary depending on your system configuration, drivers, and sensor availability.
- pcGauge is a monitoring tool, not a diagnostic or safety-critical instrument. Do not rely on it for decisions where inaccurate readings could cause harm.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of pcGauge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of pcGauge or this website, regardless of the cause of action.
Our total liability for any claim related to pcGauge shall not exceed the amount you paid for the application.
7. Refunds
Purchases are made through the Microsoft Store. Refund eligibility is determined by Microsoft's refund policy. We do not process payments or refunds directly.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of the application or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer of pcGauge operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
